Alibaba’s Qwen team just dropped another bombshell in the open-source AI world. Meet Qwen3-Image-Edit, now live on Hugging Face and QwenChat.

Built on the newly launched 20B Qwen-Image model, this editor pushes things further — extending Qwen-Image’s famous text rendering powers into full-on image editing. It works by feeding the input image into Qwen2.5-VL (for semantic control) and a VAE encoder (for appearance control), giving it mastery over both meaning and style.

IP / creative asset generation

Style transfer
Precise text editing while keeping the original font
