- Pro pricing unchanged: Pro and Pro Max stay the same. You can now max out with a 2TB Pro Max for RM9,999.
Specs
- Base iPhone 17 now comes with an LTPO OLED 120Hz display.
- iPhone Air is the only one with a Titanium frame. The base and Pro models switch back to Aluminium (single block CNC) for better thermal management and space efficiency.
- All iPhone 17 models now have a 48MP Fusion camera system with up to 200mm zoom range.
- The front camera is now 18MP with Center Stage, allowing wider square shots and smarter cropping.
- Base iPhone still run on USB2.
Under the Hood
- iPhone 17 runs on A19 with 8GB RAM. iPhone Air and 17 Pro pack the A19 Pro with 12GB RAM.
- A new 16-core NPU + extra neural accelerators per GPU = desktop-class AI performance (4× faster than A18 Pro).
- Apple’s own wireless module (N1 + C1X) gives 6+ extra hours of battery life compared to iPhone 16.
- Fast charging upgrade: now supports 40–60W (vs 27W before).
- iPhone Air is eSIM-only, with support for dual eSIM simultaneously.
Fun Fact:
China, the heavily lockdown country also will offer iPhone Air and the eSIM phone service for the first time (now limited telco option)
But the catch is, The China specific iPhone Air can only install china eSIM when they inside China (GPS geofence). Other country iPhone will need to turn on their GPS too if they wish to install China Telco eSIM.
