Alibaba just dropped the new Qwen3-Omni, and this time they really learned from the last Omni release. Instead of a messy rollout, we’re getting three different models, plus a proper Docker image and vLLM deployment guide right out of the box.

Most importantly, this is their first MoE (Mixture of Experts) Omni model. Previous Qwen Omni versions were dense models that demanded heavy hardware. Now, with the MoE design (3B activated experts), inference is super fast—you’ll see instant responses.

Here’s the lineup:

Qwen3-Omni-30B-A3B-Instruct – Built for chat. Can switch to reasoning mode with just a prompt. Supports audio output too.

Qwen3-Omni-30B-A3B-Thinking – Focused on reasoning for higher accuracy. Text output only.

Qwen3-Omni-30B-A3B-Captioner – Super fine-tuned for detailed, low-hallucination captions. Handles 19 input audio languages → 119 output text languages. Perfect for subtitles.
