Remember when BYD showed off its 1000V, 1 Megawatt EV charger earlier this year? Impressive, but that was just a demo car.

Then Zeekr rolled in with a single liquid-cooled charging gun pushing 1.2 Megawatts—enough to one-up BYD—and they started installing them across China. The catch? None of Zeekr’s current EVs can actually use the full 1.2 MW yet.

And then… Huawei walked in and flexed. 💪

Their new three-gun charger setup includes:

Two primary nozzles, each pushing 1200 A—combine them and you get a massive 2400 A (triple your typical 800 A charger) with peak power up to 1.5 MW (1500 kW).

One liquid-cooled “water gun”, engineered to keep the handle below 50 °C. Its cooling is 300% more efficient than air cooling, sustaining full-blast 2400 A output for 15 minutes straight without throttling.

The best part? This isn’t a lab demo—Huawei’s chargers are already live, powering EV trucks and lorries that can now juice up faster so they can resume their busy workload.
