The Devin team plans to integrate their AI coding agent directly into Windsurf’s IDE. The acquisition includes Windsurf’s intellectual property, its remaining team, and—most notably—restores access to the Claude models.

So much drama in the $13B AI coding market! This deal brings Cognition $82 million in annual recurring revenue, over 350 enterprise clients, and a 250-person team (what’s left of it, anyway).
