As demand surged, Anguilla’s latest budget now expects 260.5 million East Caribbean dollars ($96.4 million USD) from domain-related “goods and services,” implying .ai alone contributed over $70 million USD to the island’s coffers last year.

Short names like “you.ai” have fetched up to $700k, and one recent week of .ai auctions cleared ~$1.2 million USD.
