Typical Google fashion - just like how absurdly they ended support for their previous LLM models, they just gave you a 6-day notice and went ahead and deprecated the Gemini-3-Pro-Preview model. The deadline is today.

What does this mean? For normal Gemini users, this wasn’t much of a change other than they’ll notice Gemini-3.1-Pro-Preview is now their base model, and the generation speed is getting slower (3.0’s response time was way faster, we can talk about the degraded quality and attn next)

But for enterprise users who use Gemini-3.0-Pro in their products, Google will require you to switch the model name to point to Gemini-3.1-Pro-Preview - or else your project will just stop working after today.

And the funny part? Google promised there would be a 14-day end-of-life notice for model deprecation. And look what we have here - 6 days.

Bravo, Google. Google gives out a lot of free and great stuff, but if you plan to build anything that’s gonna run long-term in enterprise?

Don’t do it. Never use Google products outside your hobby projects.
