Xpeng Motors has officially abandoned LiDAR, moving to a pure vision-based autonomous driving solution.

In fact, Xpeng stopped using LiDAR starting with last year’s P7+ model.

Remember when other carmakers claimed LiDAR was the superior choice and that Elon was being “stupid” and just cutting costs? Well… they might need to start walking back those comments while quietly copying his approach.
